Honorable Advisor to Ministry for Petroleum and Natural Resources visits PSO headquarters and commends Company's performance

Karachi: The Honorable Advisor to the Ministry for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Mr. Zahid Muzaffar visited the head office of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) on Thursday, 13th February 2014.

Mr. Amjad Parvez Janjua, Managing Director & CEO, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) welcomed the Honorable Advisor and provided a comprehensive briefing on the role and performance of PSO as well as present and potential challenges faced by the Company. The presentation covered the Company's profile, operational and marketing performance, regulatory environment, organizational dynamics and strategic thrust.

The Honorable Advisor commended the marketing and financial performance benchmarks achieved by the Company during the first half of Financial Year 14 (July-December 2013). He advised the Company to continue with management and strategic thrust in line with international best practices. Mr. Zahid Muzaffar stated that PSO's success is a role model for other companies in Pakistan. He assured the continued support of the Government of Pakistan (GoP) to the PSO management.
