Pakistan State Oil Initiates Relief Efforts for Quake Affected Areas

Karachi - 5th October, 2013: Pakistan State Oil (PSO), the nation's leading public sector company has initiated relief activities for the earthquake affected populace in Balochistan.

As part of its CSR efforts, the Company has worked to dispatch and distribute relief items to meet the nutritional and shelter needs of the displaced families in the earthquake affected area. Towards this end, PSO dispatched a relief convoy containing 25,000 mineral water bottles, 1200 ration bags, 1000 mosquito nets and 270 tents in the first phase of its relief efforts. These items will be distributed amongst various relief camps in vicinity of Awaraan and surrounding areas. The convoy was dispatched from PSO Head Office on Saturday and was seen off by the PSO management. The Company is partnering with the relevant authorities to ensure safe delivery of goods and ensure that the distribution takes placed in an efficient and transparent manner.
