Pakistan State Oil (PSO) living up to its national responsibility intensified its CSR drive by pledging support through donations to various organizations engaged in Education, Healthcare, Community building, Women empowerment, Special Children Welfare and Relief Activities.

In a cheque distribution ceremony held at PSO House, Mr. Naeem Y. Mir, MD & CEO-PSO distributed cheques amongst representatives of 31 social and welfare NGOs operating in the health, education and community development sectors, nationwide. Notable beneficiaries present at the ceremony included SOS Children's Village, Quetta; Sindh Institute of Urology & Transplantation, Karachi; Patients Welfare Association - Mayo Hospital Lahore; Kaghan Memorial Trust Islamabad; Foundation for Rehabilitation & Education of Special Children, Lahore; Ojha Institute of Chest Disease, Karachi and Liquat University Eye Hospital, Hyderabad etc.

Addressing the audience, Mr. Naeem apprised that as part of his vision: "PSO is taking its CSR program a step further and has initiated a Street Sponsorship Program (SSP), which would help develop roads with state of the art facilities in some of the least privileged areas across the country." He stressed the need of connectivity among NGO's and PSO employees in each other working by volunteer participation. He also took this opportunity to commend the NGO partners of the company and invited them to work with PSO for the street sponsorship venture as well.

PSO is the nation's largest state owned company and has always been cognizant of its national and social obligations. Committed to Pakistan's future, PSO is making a positive difference in the lives of the people of the country.
